* Pediatric equipment - Efforts continue to make sure that ambulance services
have all the pediatric equipment that their protocols will allow and that have
been recommended by EMSC. As funding is available, equipment or supplies are
replaced for those services that need it.
* PEPP classes are ongoing and are provided as requested at no cost to the
service hosting the course.
* Continuing pediatric medical education is a priority and speakers are
encouraged and often sponsored at all of the continuing education conferences
held each year around the state.
* Currently, EMSC is working with the Hospital Preparedness Coordinator to
provide four "Pediatrics in Disasters" training programs in four locations
around the state in 2010. In part this was started when the EMSC Coordinator
became a member of the Disaster Preparedness Task Group.
